Syruspro Operator


A Southern Vermont Company is currently seeking a 1st shift Syruspro Operator.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates mastery of bench assembly and machine operations required for the assembly, processing and inspection of thin film filters
  • Produces work pieces to specifications on a production basis with minimal supervision, while also actively contributing as a member of the processing department to assure department commitments are met
  • Participates in cross training, continually developing and broadening skills, in order to be able to effectively contribute in production areas outside of processing when needed
  • Able to read and interpret instructions on the Manufacturing Control Sheet (MCS)
  • Issues materials to appropriate work centers as designated by the MCS, accurately completing all required paperwork and reports
  • Examines supplied thin film component pieces for observable defects, scratches and conformance with the MCS
  • Confirms measurement of pieces to meet stated specifications of thickness and diameter. Completes and submits a reject report for those pieces that are in question
  • Completes required processing in accordance with establishes procedures
  • Laminates, seals and paints filter components
  • Assembles and seals coated and uncoated filter components into rings
  • Performs final inspection of work, including pinhole checks. Applies filter numbers to the finished product
  • Proactively alerts supervisor and or production manager to material problems or other developments that may disrupt or delay production schedule
  • Moves product to appropriate work center as called out by the Route Tag/MCS
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Follows all safety guidelines and uses safety equipment that is provided. Does hand exercises that Safety Coordinator has implemented
  • Participates in cross training, continually developing and broadening skills, in order to be able to effectively contribute in production areas outside of processing when needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED or six months related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
  • Good hand/eye coordination, manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Writes clearly and informatively, able to read and interpret written information
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk and hear
  • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus and manual dexterity

Pay Rate:

  • Competitive starting pay (based on experience)

Hours:

  • 1st Shift | Tues-Fri | 7:00am-5:00pm
