A well-known Massachusetts manufacturer is seeking a 3rd shift Maintenance Shift Lead.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates shift direction based on internal customer needs, paying attention to safety, labor accountability, and shift success
- Repairs and maintains production machinery and equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties
- Performs preventative maintenance duties such as greasing plant equipment, changing oil, cleaning filters, as well as general equipment maintenance
- Performs safety talks at the beginning of shift
- Keeps tier 2 board up-to-date for their shift
- Receives first call from other departments
- Checks in with technicians at least 3 times per shift
- Builds work orders for technicians that are being called in and translate W.O. # to incoming technician so they can finish WO Performs shift notes for the entire shift
- Communicates with production supervisor/tech super on a regular basis
- Redirection of maintenance labor as needed on shift
- Make tooling packets for shift
- Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to the equipment sounds to locate trouble dismantles devices to gain access to and remove/repair defective parts
- Lubricates and cleans parts and equipment
- Start devices to test performance
- Effectively communicate through use of email and verbal communication
- Cleans/organizes/maintains parts inventory
- Assist shift personnel with tooling functions repair/replace defective parts
- Troubleshoot and make repairs to equipment
- Set-up and operate lathe, mill, grinders, welders, and other metal working shop tools
- Position, align, and secure ancillary equipment such as shears, slitting knives, winders, unwinds
- Install dies, extruder screws, candle filters, adapters, and understand proper cleaning for all
- Perform roll changes including sctiffing of rubber rolls
- Clean and change candle filters/cofit's/breaker plates
- Prep candle filters for shipment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must be able to understand how to look at the schedule in Fox Pro (will train)
- Must have an in-depth understanding of the maintenance CMMS program
- Must have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must have the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing
- Willingness and ability to travel, if necessary, between plants or to obtain parts
- Willingness to be on call and come in on weekends if necessary
- Flexibility to switch shifts if necessary

Pay Rate:
- Great starting pay (based on experience)
Hours:
- 7:00pm-7:00am | Rotating 3-day work week, then 4-day work week (every other week)
- Each week includes at least 1 weekend day
